Serenity

As the sun sets low in the sky and as dusk falls upon the land, there is an unmistakable feeling of serenity.
One cannot help but be mesmerized by nature giving in to the night. It does not fight it, it does not resist it, and it is not upset by it. It simply allows.
Serenity to me means so much more than just being calm or tranquil.
It is living life in the flow of allowance, not resistance. It is about being part of the natural flow of things. It is also about accepting change around us with a polite ease.
I hence leave you today with the following quote to reflect on:
“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can, and
the wisdom to know the difference.” - St. Francis of Assisi

Just Being

Isn’t it great to just be? To enjoy a beautiful day? To take a swim or take a walk?
Isn’t it great to just be? To spend time with others? To enjoy the company of a friend or a partner?
Isn’t it great to just be? To take in life? To look around in awe or gratitude for this world?
It is indeed great, JUST BEING!
