The Miracle of Life

Sometimes life begins where we would least expect it.
Sometimes life exists where we would never imagine it could.
Life is like that.
It is we, who underestimate it.

Perspective of Size

How huge we are next to an insect.
How big we are next to a flower.
How small we are next to a tree.
How tiny we are next to a mountain.
It is important in life to know that perspective changes everything. Hence do not be so attached to a particular state of being as in another context that state no longer applies.

Sailing Through Life

Do not fear the temperatures of the waters.
Do not fear the vastness of the skies.
Instead set your own sail and sail through life.
Soar with the wind and glide with the waves.
Feel the aliveness within you and the joy of the Earth.
It really is an amazing way to go through life this way.

Universal Purpose

Everything in the universe has a purpose. Indeed, the invisible intelligence that flows through everything in a purposeful fashion is also flowing through you.
Dr. Wayne Dyer
May we never forget just how meaningful we are to this universe, and how meaningful each aspect of nature is as well, from the tiniest spider to the grandest tree.

Simplicity of Being

Less words can speak more wisdom.
Less money can buy more happiness.
Less rules can bring more structure.
Less obligations can get more done.
The simplicity of being is something worth considering,
for any of us who are interested in the depth of life.

Serenity

As the sun sets low in the sky and as dusk falls upon the land, there is an unmistakable feeling of serenity.
One cannot help but be mesmerized by nature giving in to the night. It does not fight it, it does not resist it, and it is not upset by it. It simply allows.
Serenity to me means so much more than just being calm or tranquil.
It is living life in the flow of allowance, not resistance. It is about being part of the natural flow of things. It is also about accepting change around us with a polite ease.
I hence leave you today with the following quote to reflect on:
“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can, and
the wisdom to know the difference.” - St. Francis of Assisi

Nature's Marvels

The natural and physical world is filled with many marvelous and beautiful things. We just have to be open to seeing them.
What is even more amazing is that once we open ourselves up to seeing beauty, we seem to be surrounded by it and running into it more and more frequently.
One of those marvelous and beautiful things are geese families in the spring.
There is something so pure, so lovable, so cute and so innocent about baby geese and their moms. Watching them walk, swim and experience the physical world for the first time is blissful!
There is order. There is stillness. There is love. There is a lot there for us to learn from.

Everyday Magic

Who says there is no magic in this world?
Look through the eyes of a child and you just might see some fairy dust being sprinkled around you.
Look through the eyes of a believer and you might just see magical creatures around you.
Look through the eyes of a tree and you might just see infinite stillness.
Look through the eyes of a bird and you might just see the horizon beneath your wings.
Look through the eyes of God and you might just see the greatest expression of love.

Just Being

Isn’t it great to just be? To enjoy a beautiful day? To take a swim or take a walk?
Isn’t it great to just be? To spend time with others? To enjoy the company of a friend or a partner?
Isn’t it great to just be? To take in life? To look around in awe or gratitude for this world?
It is indeed great, JUST BEING!

Sparkling Moments

You will experience many different moments today.
How will you experience them?
Will you enjoy them all with pleasure?
Will you take in each one to its fullest as the moment presents it?
Or will you choose to resist it?
Will you choose to complain about it?
Will you ignore its presence as you put yourself in a future moment?
Know that each moment of your life, regardless what you are doing is priceless. It is precious and it is sparkling with opportunities for new growth and new life!

Pausing Time

If everything just stopped for you in your life.
If someone hit the pause button, and you could just step back and observe.
What would you see?
How are you living your life?
How are you spending your time?
Are you happy with what you see?
If not; may you have the courage and the will to change that which does not serve your existence.

Living Like Water

Today’s reflection comes to us from the life changing book “Change Your Thoughts - Change Your Life” by Wayne Dyer, where he dissected the 81 verses of the ancient Chinese Tao Te Ching, with his own beautiful reflections. This is an excerpt from the 78th verse of the Tao Te Ching:
“Nothing in the world is softer
and weaker than water.
But for attacking the hard, the unyielding,
nothing can surpass it.
There is nothing like it.
The weak overcomes the strong;
the soft surpasses the hard.
In all the world, there is no one who does not know this,
but no one can master the practice.”
Lao-tzu, Tao Te Ching
If we stop holding on so tightly to everything, and live like water, we may just find that our greatest strength shines through and there is nothing that we cannot be, do or have.

The Comfort of Alone

So many times life gives us chances to be alone.
Yet some of us seek others desperately, uncomfortable in our own skin.
But understand this;
There is perfection in everything.
Every moment. Every person. Every situation.
Thus enjoy the moments you are given alone.
Take that time to be with yourself. To get to know yourself. To fall in love with yourself.
When we go within, we become so much fuller and radiant to the outer world.
